I just wanted to say thanks to all the volunteers of Cana Rescue. Thanks for the work your department has done. I have got to work beside some very good EMTs from the department. Cana has always been a top notch department with good equipment and very good members. It is sad to see that you all are ending operations as a volunteer unit. I saw it on the news July 12, 2017. Times have changed and volunteers and volunteering are hard to come by. I think if other county volunteers want to continue they should go combination of volunteers and paid staff rotating through the volunteers. If they don't take heed I think other departments will be dissolved by the county. Anyway, much respect for saying that you can't volunteer anymore. Thank you volunteer heros for your time and effort. 46 years of service is something to be proud of and many people have been helped by the department. Volunteers dont do it for thanks, often making many sacrifices along the way. Thanks for your service and your efforts and mission won't be forgotten.
